**Support Student Wellbeing & Engagement in a School Environment**

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate **School-Based Youth Support Officer** to join our team supporting young people at **Kilcoy**.

**_ Location:_**_ _**_Kilcoy State High School_**
**_Part-Time Role | 8 Days Per Fortnight | 7:54 AM - 4:00 PM_**
**_Contract:_**_ _**_Fixed-Term until 12 December _**_2025 (Potential for Extension)_**

**About the Role**:
You'll work directly with students to support their wellbeing, resilience, and engagement with school life through evidence-based programs and one-on-one support.
As a Youth Support Officer, you will:

- Deliver and support **wellbeing and personal development programs** aligned to school and departmental frameworks
- Provide **mentoring and individual check-ins** with students, including strengths and needs assessments
- Collaborate with school staff, youth workers, and community services to build a holistic support network
- Collect data and feedback to help review and improve programs
- Contribute to program planning, capacity-building for facilitators, and reporting on student engagement

**About You**:

- Experience working with young people in education, youth work, or community services
- Strong communication and engagement skills with students and staff
- Ability to build trust and deliver support with professionalism and empathy
- Skilled in program facilitation and feedback delivery
- Comfortable working in a school setting with vulnerable or disengaged students

**Requirements**:

- Blue Card (Working with Children)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid QLD Driver's Licence
