Responsibilities
Follow the LSKD operating principles including Design and Production, and 1% Better
Lead the brand with integrity as a Hungry, Humble Smart team member
Collaborate with Creative Direction to understand LSKD's product vision and community needs
Collaborate with merchandise teams to build category ranges through creative concepts and design
Generate creative ideas for new products, features, and enhancements aligned with Creative Direction and community insights
Apply market research, trend analysis and product testing insights into development of product ranges
Translate conceptual designs into actionable plans, considering materials, functionality, and cost
Oversee prototyping and testing with partners and internal teams to create samples and prototypes
Create and adjust product specifications, including technical pattern making throughout the development process
Maintain and update technical sketches and Bill of Materials; conduct product testing and validation for quality, performance and standards compliance
Educate and mentor the team to ensure understanding of product requirements and foster collaboration for innovation
Source and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners
Monitor lead times and production schedules to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Implement quality assurance processes and standards; conduct inspections and audits to address quality issues
Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and key metrics
Essential Skills / Experience
Strong background with activewear fabrics is highly preferred
Proven track record in the field with insights to challenge the norm
In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques
Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Style Arcade, Shopify, Asana) is desirable
Passionate about and connected to the LSKD community, brand mission, and values
Proactively seeks new learning opportunities and stays current in the field
Effective communicator with clear and focused messaging
Ability to meet deadlines and go the extra mile to get the job done
Passion for creating great product
