Gadens is offering a unique 12-month contract opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Advisor to join our collaborative team in the Sydney office, where teamwork is paramount. This is your initial career step up from compliance to governance as part of the broader Office of General Counsel team.
**Your role**

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the firm's Risk Management Framework
- Maintain the firm's risk management process, systems and assurance mechanisms to monitor, control and minimise risks.
- Maintain the firm's Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan including annual reviews.
- Analyse and manage the firm's conflict process to identify any potential conflicts of interest.
- Facilitate training to the Firm on the firm's conflict management process.
- Actively participate and provide support in project work within the Risk and Compliance team
- Develop and update Compliance Manuals and Policies
- Provide risk and compliance input to strategic projects
- Other compliance duties, advisory and administrative duties as required

**About you**
- 2-4 years Compliance or Risk Management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and manage your time
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of team
- Solutions focused with strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and ability to be adaptable to changing priorities
