By creating job opportunities and stimulating the local economy, we are shaping a vibrant future for Darwin.Join us in redefining excellence and contributing to the growth of our community.ABOUT THE PROJECTDCOH has been engaged to deliver the proposed new Civic Centre project, a transformative $150 million development designed to reflect Darwin's cultural heritage and meet its growing needs.Key project highlights include:Large Scale, PCA A Grade ProjectThe $150 million civic centre project offers significant opportunities for hands-on experience in delivering a 21 storey premium PCA A Grade commercial building right in the heart of the city.Diverse and Multifaceted ScopeThe project encompasses a variety of functional spaces, including customer services, council chambers, office areas, and a public plaza, alongside operational elements like carparking and building infrastructure.Commitment to Long-Term Community ImpactWith construction expected to create over 500 jobs and designs honouring Galamarrma, the Tree of Knowledge, this project aligns with principles of sustainable development and cultural respect.WHO YOU AREYou are a proactive and organised Service Engineer / Coordinator who ensures that services run smoothly throughout the design and construction phases.
You work closely with project teams and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical discipline3–5 years' experience coordinating service works.
Experience in high-rise construction projects would be highly valued.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules and budgetsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with subcontractors and internal teamsEffective problem solver, focused on timely issue resolutionSound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and compliance requirementsWHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Service Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate service packages during the design and construction phases to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery.Act as the main point of contact for all service coordination tasksSchedule and dispatch internal tradespeople and subcontractors according to project timelinesMonitor and track service progress, resolving scheduling conflicts proactivelyMaintain accurate records of work orders, RFIs, compliance documents,Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractorsMonitor subcontractor performance and escalate issues when necessaryCoordinate procurement and delivery of materials, , and equipmentEnsure materials meet project specifications and compliance requirementsPrepare service progress, compliance, and defect reportsAssist with commissioning, testing, defect rectification, and handover documentationIdentify opportunities for process improvements and support junior team membersWHAT'S NEXTIf you are interested in this position, please submit your CV and cover letter which describes who you are and addresses the criteria detailed above.
