Project Engineer - Construction Services

As a Project Engineer in Construction Services, you will be responsible for delivering Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) deliverables associated with construction activities, creating access work packs, and providing inputs into constructability reviews, schedules, and estimates.

The role is based in Darwin, offering a permanent position available on a full-time or part-time basis (job share). You will join a team of professionals who design the future and transform the world by delivering brownfield engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Delivering high-quality FEED deliverables
  • Creating access work packs
  • Providing inputs into constructability reviews
  • Managing schedules and estimates

To excel in this role, you will have a degree in Mechanical or a tertiary qualification supported by 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Ideally, you will have proven experience in a similar role as a Project Engineer in Construction Services within a Brownfield EPC, ESC, or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas/LNG industry.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of interpreting discipline documentation
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS), and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of technical specifications
