Field Worker B

**About the role**

As Field Worker B, you will be part of the Works and Field Services Team, and undertake general maintenance of parks, gardens including operation of a tractor. We have two positions available, one working on our wonderful parks and gardens and one to keep our sports grounds in top shape for the community.

In the role you will have the opportunity to:

- Operate a tractor and undertake general maintenance of parks, reserves and sports grounds
- Operate and maintain machinery and driving of a tractor
- Undertake establishment and detailed maintenance of sports turf areas and gardens
- Assist with minor landscape construction and irrigation works
- Identify and treat pests in turf and gardens

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current C Class Licence
- Level 3 Certificate in Horticulture or related sports field experience would be an advantage
- Experience in maintaining turf irrigation systems and operation of turf maintenance equipment and machinery would be an advantage
- ACDC Commercial licence would be an advantage
- Queensland Construction blue or white card would be an advantage
- FIT Testing for respiratory protection equipment: workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment. Workers must be clean shaven or only have facial hair that doesn't interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator

A pre-employment medical is required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing).

These positions are permanent full time, LGE Level 4-6 with a salary commencing at $64,570 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
