Disability To Ability SA are seeking Disability Support Workers to provide person centred support for a individuals living independently in Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. We are looking for applicants who have experience providing support for clients with Spinal Cord and Acquired Brain Injuries or have experience working with high and complex care clients and / or behaviour management. must be able to work Fridays and Mondays

**The role**

**Are you a caring support worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and people dealing with Disabilities?**

While no two days are the same, one thing is for certain is that you will be a positive role model who will be there to answer questions, provide positive guidance and encourage aspects of the participants life such as overall wellbeing and career aspirations.

We understand that the role can be different depending on the person you support however, your day-to-day may involve you assisting with homework, cooking, shopping, transportation and laundry, community participation, equine therapy ect.

**About you**

As a Support Worker, you are empathetic, understanding and have the ability to relate to people in care.

You also have the following:

- Great communication skills - both written and verbal
- NDIS Worker Screening (NDISWC)
- First Aid Certificate
- Driver's License, reliable car & insurance
- Manual Handling
- Medication certificate
- Working with children check (WWCC)
- Covid 19 infection control training

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $22.93 - $49.04 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Shift work
