AECOM has an opportunity for a passionate Supplier Relationships Specialist to partner in delivering our Sustainable Legacies strategy and strengthening the pathways and partnerships for First Nations businesses.
As the First Nations Supplier Relationship Specialist, you will play a key advocacy role for our First Nations suppliers, contractors and organisations seeking opportunities with AECOM. Reporting directly to our Regional Operations Procurement Lead, you will actively build and maintain relationships with First Nations suppliers from the tendering stage through to project delivery. You will match our First Nations procurement requirements with First Nations enterprises, driving positive outcomes for both parties.
This role will enable you to take ownership, grow and maintain AECOM's First Nations Suppliers, assisting project teams to achieve their objectives and deliver sustainable opportunities for First Nations businesses. As a procurement specialist, you will understand and develop Category Management guidelines and contribute to proposals and subsequent delivery of reporting for projects.
AECOM Australia Pty Ltd considers that being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under s 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 in Victoria and under sub-s 56(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 in South Australia.
To be successful in this critical role, you will have demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, particularly in the context of First Nations enterprise. You will have previous experience working in Procurement, Community Development or a related area, with an action-oriented approach and solutions focus.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
+ Prior experience working within a medium to large sized corporate environment will be beneficial but not essential
