Supplier Management Specialist

Are you a procurement expert with a drive for ensuring effective outsourcing and contract management?
We are looking for a Supplier Management Specialist to lead the way in supplier governance, risk management and continuous improvement for our Community Care services.
Your Role
You'll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of third-party suppliers for Community Care, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and robust contract management in line with business needs, industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This role is central to maintaining a high-performing supplier panel and ensuring our systems, processes, and relationships support operational excellence and compliance. You'll be responsible for leading supplier panel review and optimisation, as well as driving continuous improvement of the supplier management processes.
As a Supplier Management Specialist, you will:
- Manage and maintain the supplier panel, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the supplier risk register, including identification of critical suppliers, regional vulnerabilities, and mitigation actions.
- Conduct regular supplier panel reviews and provide actionable insights and reporting to senior leadership.
- Drive process enhancement through audit readiness activities, process mapping, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and report against key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead supplier negotiations to ensure value, performance, and alignment with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support workflow optimisation and system integrations.

For Success you need to:
- Demonstrate experience in supplier management and leading negotiations, ideally within aged care or health care settings
- Hold or be willing to obtain relevant procurement or supplier management certifications (preferred)
- Demonstrate strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and work effectively with a broad range of people
- Have a strong understanding of commercial and compliance requirements
- Provide a current Police Screening Certificate
