**About the role**:
We are seeking a junior-mid level communications professional with a passion for community engagement and placemaking. You'll play a key role in delivering the communications and stakeholder relations programs and assist building strong community relationships for this exciting development withing the Waterloo community. You will be working with an experienced team of communications and community engagement professionals. The position will be based in the Waterloo/Redfern Area.
- Undertake research, fact checking and drafting communication collateral, including notifications, newsletters, and reports, to assist in the implementation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Assist with the preparation, delivery logistics and evaluation of community engagement activities to ensure the timely distribution of up-to-date project information.
- Regularly update the integrated office communications calendar to assist in ensuring communication and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Maintain project documentation and databases, including stakeholder feedback and milestone achievements, to ensure projects are run and evaluated on up-to-date information.
**About you**:
- Experience in planning and implementing community events and managing stakeholder relationships
- Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in problem solving and conflict management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Team player with a positive, confident approach to working with people
