What does the job look like?

Join our dynamic Retail team as a AM Transport Allocator based in Truganina, where you will play a key role in overseeing transport operations for one of Australia's largest supermarket chains. In this hands-on role, you'll manage allocations, route planning, and dispatching metropolitan deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations.
- You'll be working
- 12-hour shifts

starting at 4 AM, with a bi-weekly rotating roster:
- Week 1:
Monday and Tuesday ON, Wednesday and Thursday OFF, Friday to Sunday ON
- Week 2:
Monday and Tuesday OFF, Wednesday and Thursday ON, Friday to Sunday OFF

This position offers a great opportunity to build your skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment while contributing to the success of a major retail business. Key areas:

- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements
- Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them
- Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times

Are you the one?
- Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocating is highly regarded, but not essential - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills - experience with TMS is highly regarded
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Melbourne metro area
- Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
