About the Role
As a Reliever Pharmacist, you will be asked to provide backup support for our Tasmanian pharmacy network by providing Pharmacist coverage during staff leave or periods of increased demand at the following sites:
Tasmanian Pharmacy network
Slade Pharmacy Kings Meadows (Community/Retail Pharmacy)
Slade Pharmacy New Town (Community/Retail Pharmacy)
Icon Cancer Centre Hobart (Oncology Pharmacy)
Unlike traditional locum roles, which can involve uncertain work schedules and periods of unemployment, this is a stable, permanent position.
When not providing relief cover, you'll be based at Slade Pharmacy New Town.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of pharmacy settings, including specialised training in Oncology Pharmacy.
You'll be exposed to multidisciplinary services and supported in expanding your clinical knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities (May vary according to site)
Assist provision of pharmacy services in retail settings, with a particular focus on expanded scope services
Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
About You
You are a versatile Pharmacist who thrives in new environments and enjoys travel.
Your strong communication skills and adaptability are key.
Community and newly registered Pharmacists are encouraged to apply as comprehensive training will be provided.
Essential Requirements
Current AHPRA general registration.
Current drivers' licence and roadworthy vehicle fit for purpose.
Ability to commit to a frequent travel role.
Permanent Australian working rights.
