Site Leader - Goulburn

Reporting to the Operation & Commercial Manager, we are seeking an experienced Production Manager that will be responsible for managing all site function including operation and logistics of the Goulburn facility by leading a multi-functional team. You will be accountable for driving safety and consistent product quality by encouraging continuous improvement, business practices, performance and customer satisfaction. Key to this role is build accountability and cohesion between all functional areas.

**Some of the responsibilities for this key role will include**:

- Lead and engage the site leadership team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and quality production units.
- Ensure seamless processes to manage the daily and weekly order fulfilment in line with production planning, TMS logistic functions and customer demand.
- Lead the continuous development of AFS Operations strategy
- Mentor employees into an effective team, with regular performance reviews for individual KPI's and team objectives.
- Lead sustainability and safety initiatives across the operation
- Develop, implement and manage competency-based training for all employees
- Develop and implement communication processes to engage all functional areas
- Maximise output through the use of all available resources through the establishment of a continuous improvement program
- Provide operator training where required to ensure requirements are understood.
- Participate in, and support, operation improvement projects in conjunction with key stakeholders

About you
To be considered for this role you will be known for your safety ethos and ability to lead by example. Ideally you will have:

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in continuous process manufacturing plants, with a proven track record of sound people management skills and contribution to a Zero Harm environment and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience in a "make to order" environment. Eg. Made to measure construction materials / bespoke fabricator.
- Experience leading a multifunctional team
- Experience with implementing continuous improvement projects
- Proven leadership capabilities with well-developed team leadership skills
- Able to engage and work with multiple stakeholders at various levels
- Well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of OH&S legislative requirements
- SAP knowledge - advantageous
- Strong sense of customer-centricity
