This role is at Coppin Centre Residential Aged Care Facility in inner Melbourne.
The Nurse Unit Coordinator delivers safe, high quality and contemporary clinical care, provides supervision and guidance to care staff, and supports a resident-centric approach and high level of care at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
Undertake, or supervise others to undertake, clinical care for individual residents as required, including complex wound care, pain management, behaviour management, end-of-life care and other clinical procedures as may be necessary.
Liaise with Residential care staff, medical, allied health, hospital and other specialist health practitioners to ensure residents receive high level clinical care.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through AHPRA
Recent experience in caring for high care and dementia residents
Knowledge of wound care, palliative care, behaviour management, clinical assessments, care plans
Other Requirements
It is mandatory to have a valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or both) to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
All aged care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu vaccine.
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to commencement.
