With a team of approximately 100 people, we have been growing quickly and we are looking for the right person to join our Purchasing Team as a Purchasing and Inventory Officer. This role would be perfect for someone who:

- Is a process driven individual
- Is comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- Is excellent with spreadsheets and numbers
- Is committed to ensuring that count numbers are right

Stocktakes form a big portion of this role, so the ability to accurately count is a must.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent Communication Skills. You will be required to communicate with the production staff, management and suppliers to find resolutions to problems, gather information and answer questions.
- Ability to work Autonomously. We are looking for a go getter who is able to independently take charge of their day to day tasks with support and guidance from the Purchasing Manager.
- Demonstrated Mathematical Ability. You must be very comfortable with numbers as numerical calculations form a large part of the role.
- Intermediate skills in Excel Spreadsheets as a minimum. Spreadsheets are a large part of our purchasing system, if are not comfortable in navigating spreadsheets this is not the role for you.
- Attention to Detail. You will need a keen eye for errors and the ability to self check your work as certain tasks including Stock Counts must be completed with 100% accuracy.
- Process and Deadline driven. You will need to follow many processes that have strict deadlines.
- Flexibility. Due to the fast moving nature of our Production Floor, we may need you to start earlier or later in the day during the completion of the Monthly Stock Counts.
- Highly Motivated and Enthusiastic.
- A proven history of the ability to conduct accurate stocktakes is highly favourable. We have a large number of stock SKUs that require accurate fortnightly and monthly counts.
- A background in a similar Purchasing and Inventory Officer or Stocktake position is highly favourable.

Ticking the boxes?

Well let's get into a bit more detail about the role. You will be responsible for assisting with the purchasing from our Domestic and International suppliers:

- Conduct stocktakes (fortnightly & monthly) of materials on hand (SOH).
- Input SOH figures into Inventory Management Spreadsheets.
- Analyse monthly usage figures to determine projected holding quantities.
- Continually monitor for potential stock outs and help action internal processes. Notify the Purchasing Manager of any potential stock outs.
- Plan Purchase Orders to Domestic & International suppliers. Liaise with suppliers on urgent requirements.
- Administer general stock management tasks including: updating Container Schedules, Warehouse Plans, Stock on Hand readings and Quality Checks on product batches.
- Maintain supplier and stock information ensuring all details are up to date (Contact Details, SKU's, Pricing, etc ).
- Maintain supplier communications, monitor and prepare for supplier holiday periods or closures.

Reporting to

This role will report to Purchasing Manager and guidance will be provided on all Purchasing tasks.
