As part of this exciting and challenging vision this position is a key member of the team providing front line cleaning services and solutions to our customers.

Location Locations vary depending on customer site(s) within the broader Melbourne region.

Role Purpose A Cleaning Services Employee Level One (CSE 1) is an employee who at the completion of their training and induction can perform work within the scope of this level and
- works under routine supervision either individually or in a team
- exercises discretion within the level of their skills and training, and
- performs those tasks customarily performed by cleaners utilising a range of materials and equipment, to clean a range of surfaces in order to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic condition.

Qualifications Certificate II / III in Cleaning operations (or similar) desirable

Experience - Previous experience in a commercial cleaning environment preferred
- Energetic and physically fit and capable
- The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures.
- Health and Safety experience.
- Experience handling and operating commercial cleaning equipment.

Skills & abilities - Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Energetic and physically fit and capable.
- Good communication - verbal and written, customer service and complaint handling skills.
- Organised and well presented.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity towards equity and diversity.
- Team player with a can-do attitude and able to work individually.
- Must have car licence and vehicle.

Role Duties / Responsibilities

Role Description Accountabilities Tasks/Actions Cleaning Services

Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with specifications and instructions to a level of quality expected by customers and Cleaning Melbourne.

Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and standards.

Maintain self and equipment in a state as prescribed by Cleaning Melbourne standards

Undertake cleaning in commercial and/or residential sites including public areas (BBQs, Public Toilets, Public gathering spaces, Picnic areas/shelters)

General cleaning
- Windows internal and external (including where licensed on the exterior of multi
- storied buildings from swing scaffolds, boatswain's chairs, hydraulic bucket trucks or similar devices)
- Cleaning of glass, both internal and external
- Flooring including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, spot cleaning and cleaning wet surfaces
- Cleaning of soft furnishings.
- Perform basic stain removal from carpets and other surfaces
- Toilet and shower cleaning
- Dusting of hard surfaces, fixtures, and fittings
- Sanitary disposal processing.
- Wiping and sweeping under and around seats and tabletops.
- Sort, remove and recycle waste material.
- Maintain external surfaces

Operating ride-on powered machinery
- Operating hand-held powered equipment such as blowers, vacuum cleaners, and polishers
- Operating steam cleaning and pressure washing equipment

Office equipment
- Specialist computer cleaning
