Located 110km west of Melbourne's CBD, the City of Ballarat is Victoria's largest inland centre and the third largest city in Victoria. Reporting to the Executive Manager Infrastructure, the Coordinator Development Engineering will lead a team who collectively administer the ongoing delivery of the Council's Development Engineering Department. The organisation plays a key role in planning for and shaping the City of Ballarat. The Development Engineering team is responsible for the review and approval of subdivision development plans for the City and the supervision, inspection, and approval of the civil works component during subdivision construction. You will join as a senior member of the Department and lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff who work collaboratively across disciplines and collectively delivering engineering solutions and achieving the strategic objectives of the organisation.

You bring a methodical and proactive approach and are known to work calmly under pressure with excellent communication skills. You are empowered by working with limited guidance or direction and you are recognised for your technical background and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
