Job Summary
The
Data Migration Specialist
will spearhead a high-priority project, upgrading SSIS packages from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2022.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and review existing SSIS packages for upgrade readiness
Convert and modernise packages using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)
Optimise performance and troubleshoot post-migration issues
Develop and execute thorough testing plans to ensure data integrity and functionality
Maintain clear documentation of changes and configurations
Resolve technical challenges related to connectivity, data types, and execution
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong background in SSIS development and migration across SQL Server versions
Hands-on experience with SSDT and package conversion
Solid understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server performance tuning
Familiarity with custom C# code within SSIS packages
Experience with Git or similar version control systems
