The opportunity exists for a full time insurance broker assistant to join our growing boutique firm in the southern suburbs of Sydney. This position will give you an introduction to the insurance industry. You will receive on the job training and be mentored by our experienced team of brokers.
On offer is an opportunity to progress within the business as it grows whilst you gain experience and work towards your insurance qualifications. Based in southern Sydney (near airport). Close to public transport - 2 mins walk from train station.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Working with experienced broking team to service and grow a portfolio of general insurance clients
- Work on claims, renewals, endorsements and new business
- Learn and become proficient with various broking systems
- Dealing with general enquiries & various customer service-related duties
- Complete internal databases, spreadsheets (excel) and various ad hoc duties
- Gather information from clients to allow preparation for accurate and efficient processing
**Your Skills**
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Efficient time management, organisational and problem solving skills
- Self-structured, highly organised, with attention to steps, processes, systems and deadlines
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Happy to work in a team environment
**Your Qualifications/Experience**
- Previous insurance experience preferred but not essential
- Experience in a customer service role within an industry such as Finance, Retail or Hospitality
- An interest in the General Insurance (eg: vehicle, home & contents, etc.)
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
**Remuneration**
To be negotiated based on experience and hours.
