**The main purpose of the role**:
We are growing as a church family and are keen to offer excellence and creativity in our children's as well as offering support to children and our families during the week to deepen their spiritual walk.

This role is a great opportunity to combine creativity, teaching and engagement for someone who feels called to engage and develop children in their understanding of Jesus and the gospel. We are a culturally diverse and mixed age community church.

Our aim is to build on the community work with this age group, and their families, to see themmore regularly engaging in church on Sundays.

Someone that will provide a positive space for church and non-church children and their families to come together and build relationships and experience God's love as they are equipped to follow Jesus.

Main Responsibilities

**Vision**
- Continue the development and implementation of the vision for Sunday kids and the families from the local community.
- Continue to build the team of volunteers and helpers (parents of the children) as well as church members

**Sunday Services**
- Deliver engaging & dynamic Sunday School sessions and oversee quality of those delivered by others
- Plan and prepare resources, sessions and materials for Sunday School
- Set up the session for Sunday School and help with set down
- Source and introduce worship which has a children's focus

**Midweek and other**
- Work with the families of the children we engage offering prayer, practical support and opportunities for them to grow in the Lord by developing a discipleship programme.
- Develop a 0-5s and parents group during the week - Playgroup - possibly like a coffee morning, playgroup, to engage these younger children and their families on a regular basis.
- Develop a kids club ministry
- During the School term: 2 sessions ex) week4 and 8 on Friday 3:00pm-4:30) Afternoon tea, activity, game.
- During the holiday: 1day kids outing

**Administration**
- Arrange for Sunday School and plan a curriculum which is in line with the themes of

church
- Help to develop sessions which are relevant and engaging and emphasise key Christian

Events (EASTER, CHRISTMAS )
- Up to date understanding of IT, software and social media (Insta & Facebook)

**The Staff Team**
- Attendance at and participation in staff meetings where requested

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Experience with children: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
