Research Analyst

We are looking for a forward-thinking **Reseach Analyst **to join the Research team. This role will assist the Research team undertake strategic market analysis to ensure Investa is anticipating emerging market dynamics and making informed decisions across office acquisitions and developments. Based in Sydney's CBD, as our Research Analyst you will focus on evidence-based analytics to influence and support Investa stakeholder and business strategy with thought leadership and innovative solutions to market challenges and changes. The role will require you to have experience with R or similar statistical language & data management environment.

**Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Enhance the reputation of the Investa Research team and its capability to deliver market leading analytics, insightful and accurate marketing research to support office acquisitions, developments and other areas of the real estate services
- Actively monitor and challenge current market and business thinking
- Provide Research function efficiencies to deliver best practice service and meet internal customer demands/expectations.
- Source, collate, manage and drive information and data in Investa's research data management and analytics system
- Learn, adopt and leverage best practice data management practices to deliver quantitative improvements to the analytics and modelling functions.
- Contribute to the development of modelling tools and formulas to assist with forecasting and presentation of data-driven insights.
- Analyse data and identify leading indicators to validate relationships, assess future trends and provide market insights.
- Utilise big data tools and techniques for the purpose of analysing, providing insight and validating market insights.
- Engage with key stakeholders to identify priority information gaps and research-driven analytic needs.
- Assist in the preparation of Research papers, reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Property Economics or similar is essential
- Experience with R or similar statistical language & data management environment
- Demonstrated experience in a property research, analyst or equivalent role.
- Experience in and understanding of database management
- Proven experience and demonstrated competency in analytical writing.
- Knowledge of property markets and economic/financial markets is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated advanced level of Excel proficiency, including competency in using complex formulas.
- Curiosity and perception. Passion for empirical research and for exploring solutions with data.
- Proven interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to quickly visualise and clearly outline issues, concepts and solutions.
