The Shared Services Supervisor reports to the Shared Services Manager and works in conjunction with Location Managers to ensure:

- 1. The coordination and administration of funeral teams, provision of funeral supplies and vehicles, and repair and maintenance of company assets so that funeral services are delivered in accordance with InvoCare policies, procedures and quality standards
- 2. Human resources and the use of physical assets are coordinated and administered within budget in accordance with corporate policies, guidelines and targets, including the establishment and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment
- 3. Financial and operational targets are achieved through operational efficiency, sound administrative practices, and customer satisfaction.
- 4. Cooperative working relationships are built and maintained within InvoCare, and these support company marketing, public relations and business development activities.

These responsibilities are achieved through excellent logistics and interpersonal skills, effective communication, development of personal and staff capability, and assisting staff through change. The Shared Services Supervisor must also assist in implementing and monitor the necessary policies, systems, procedures and support needed for successful operations.The nature of funeral services requires that managers be multi-skilled and to work cooperatively with their team. At times you may be required to perform duties not specified in this job description in order to support operations and ensure excellent customer service. The InvoCare culture of customer service means that all managers and staff not only provide excellent service to external customers, but also show the same attitude and commitment to colleagues across the company.

**Key functions**
- Ensure operations staff deliver funeral services to InvoCare's quality standards by:

- Liaising with Shared Services Manager, Central Funeral Co-ordinators and Location Managers to ensure service delivery requirements are met, including staff implementation of instructions and special requests, and all required funeral processes accurately with attention to detail
- Managing funeral operations processes, including the allocation of human and physical resources to allow flexibility in the delivery of funeral coordination services
- Monitoring workplace and operational issues
- Promoting funeral practices and service delivery standards that meet customer and company expectations
- Preparing and monitoring administrative documents including staff rosters, daily work schedules, staff records, funeral documents and timesheets.
- Ensure compliance with InvoCare policies and procedures for company uniform, grooming, personal presentation and dress standards
- Maintain the supply of the coffin/casket range and other funeral supplies by establishing and maintaining relationships with manufacturers and distributors
- Implement local supplier agreements for repair and maintenance of company buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment. This includes:

- Liaising with Location managers and staff to identify maintenance needs
- Establishing and maintaining supplier relationships with trades and other service providers
- Provision of services for electrical tagging and testing, safety and first aid equipment and signage
- Participate in day-to-day operational tasks such as transfers and viewings, and keeping work areas clean and tidy, when required
- Checking and authorisation of timesheets for all funeral and transfer crew
