**Merchandise Team Leader (Casual)**

**About the role**

We're looking for a casual Merchandise Team Leader to plan and deliver merchandise retail operations for events across the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct. Working in partnership with our clients and venue planning teams you will have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service to event guests while delivering commercial returns. The role has an essential people leadership element - you'll be responsible for empowering and supporting the casual merchandise team members throughout each event.

**Planning & Delivery**

Build relationships and engage with a range of internal/external stakeholders to plan and successfully deliver merchandise retail operations throughout each event.

**Customer Experience**

Provide a high-quality customer experience for clients and guests while managing competing demands from stakeholders and ensuring legislative and safety requirements are adhered to.

**Workforce Planning & Financial Management**

Plan for and schedule resources, event budgets and lend your financial acumen to deliver a positive commercial return for clients and the business.

**Team Coaching & Leadership**

Through your collaborative and supportive leadership style, unite teams by fostering a culture of high-performance and fun

**About you**
- The customer is at the heart of everything you do, and you have an unwavering focus on people's experiences.
- You can balance competing demands like a pro - a fast pace, 'lots of balls in the air' kind of environment is one you thrive in.
- You build high-trust and effective working relationships with a variety of different people with ease.
- You have merchandise/retail operations experience ideally within the concert/event environment.
- You have functional event planning and delivery experience within an arena/stadium, major event, mixed entertainment, or similar environment.
- You have strong analytical skills with a focus on benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- You have strong sales skills and an understanding of industry best practice in a retail/merchandise environment.
- You have demonstrated experience of leading teams in a fast-paced workplace.
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to the venue and event industry are preferred but not required. Tell us about your unique mix of skills and experience
