**About the role**
In this position you will be responsible for the End-To-End delivery of Software technology for High Power EV Charging Stations that are compatible with a global Charge Point Management Systems, E-Mobility Providers and Fleet Operators. The role will lead a team of dedicated professionals contributing to Tritium's Product Technology and roadmap.
In addition to recruiting, the key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible to deliver Software features for a growing product portfolio, ranging from Billing and Management methods, Remote monitoring and SW upgrade deployment, HMI/Ui/UX, telemetry etc.
- Responsible to expand capabilities to deliver features through a variety of different commercial strategies
- Overseeing the engineering releasing activities for all 'owned' commodities (embedded charger SW, Production automation software); delivering to 'agreed-to' requirements, Tritium brand DNA & global standards and regulations
- Operational management of the team in terms of costs, scheduling, prioritisations, performance, recruitment, succession planning etc.
- Contributing to both Technology and Product road mapping initiatives; helping define the strategic intentions of the business.
- Work with the CTO, Software Architects and Iteration Manager/SCRUM Master to determine high level development priorities and KPI driven projects that are aligned with business goals and technology roadmaps
- Liaising with Product Development Programs, Production, Customer Experience and CIE/VAVE teams to ensure software is developed in alignment with Product Development Roadmaps and project plans
- Liaising with key customers and Product Management to develop first-to-market solutions
- Leading complexity reduction initiatives, process improvements and policy definition related to software creation and deployment, data security, ISO certification etc.
- Define and improve policies and processes to ensure high quality products are released to market in time to meet customer expectations and product creation programs. Expand QA and DevOps across SW creation processes.
- Administering Software release events, ensuring all products are fit for function and meet development targets. Chairing the Software Release Control Board and the Free and Open Source Software Committee.
- Collaborate with UX and Graphic designer to develop Human Machine Interfaces that are intuitive, innovative and aligned with Tritium's Product Design language
- Coaching a team truly committed to Agile, consisting of experienced SW architects, Snr Software and Firmware developers, Release Engineers, SCRUM Master and Project Manager in continuously improving good engineering practices; task and project organisation, quality evaluation, risk assessment and product performance optimisation etc.
- Provide career progression planning, technical leadership and guidance
**About you**
- Degree qualified in Engineering or Computer Science, preferably with a post graduate certificate in a technical or business/management discipline.
- +5 years demonstrable evidence managing high performing engineering teams; with at least 3 years being operational accountable (this experience can be accrued in tandem with the +7 years of core / apps engineering experience)
- Engineering project management post graduate qualifications & experiences (desirable)
- Experience with Agile Software Development methodology
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an innate ability to deliver great outcomes; able to draw conclusions from disparate sources of data & manage complex technical issues & balance often conflicting requirements.
- Wide and deep knowledge of projects operating across multi-disciplined teams. Proficient with tool sets for requirements management, task organization and release control.
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing engineering budgets (both operational and programme based).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders.
