Are you passionate about public health and harm minimisation? We are looking for a dedicated Casual Health Education Officer to join our Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) team. This vital role is focused on reducing the transmission of blood-borne viruses, such as HIV and hepatitis C, among people who inject drugs within the Central Coast community.

As a Health Education Officer in the NSP, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialist services to people who inject drugs, along with their associated networks. Your work will involve providing sterile injecting equipment, promoting safe disposal practices, and delivering targeted health education to minimise the risks associated with injecting drug use. You will also engage in outreach services, education interventions, and support referrals to relevant health and welfare services.

**About You**
- You have Tertiary qualifications or progress towards qualifications in Behavioral/Social Sciences, Drug and Alcohol, Health, Education, or related fields, or equivalent work experience in related areas.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of HIV, hepatitis C, and other blood-borne viruses, along with a comprehensive understanding of harm minimisation principles.
- You hold a valid NSW driver's license, with the ability to work across various locations within the Central Coast Local Health District.
