**About the role**
We are seeking an **SQL Administrator** for our **Defence Base Services (DBS) **contract at the new offices of** Ventia** in **Cremorne**, VIC **OR Edinburgh **in SA.

The SQL Administrator will maintain and manage critical SQL environments and database systems for Ventia's primary Defence Contract and other contacts.

The role will showcase their skills in design, install, configure, tune and secure, high performing, highly-available relevant business systems services (incl. business intelligence/reporting), including proactive patching, upgrades & migrations.
- Maintain security of relevant business systems, including user on/off boarding, access controls, credentials, and log files;
- Provide exceptional support and management of incidents and service requests, and requests for enhancements
- Ensure all relevant processes are documented and maintained
- Develop positive and effective working relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients, partners & vendors
- Provide support and management of line-of-business services and information systems with associated databases,
- Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Iteration Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and other leaders to deliver initiatives and products utilising lean and agile project management method
- Develop and implement API, Automation and other enhancements using relevant IT languages.

**Your experience should include but not limited to;**
Ideally you will have qualifications in IT, accompanied with 2+ years working as an SQL Administrator.

You will also possess:

- 2 years + in SQL Administration or similar role
- Current Skills in systems language - VBA, Python, Java, C++, HTML
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server stack including Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Proficient with TSQL - including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, etc
- The Defence contract will also require you to be an Australian citizen and be able to complete relevant background checks (Police check, medical etc)._
