About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The CIP Data Officer is responsible for responding to requests for information and will access MCV data, including the Courtlink data base, to assess and collate a summary of relevant family violence information. This data will contribute to a report which will assist in forming a comprehensive family violence risk assessment to keep victims safe.
About you
Operate relevant computer systems, including casemanagement systems such as Courtlink, and other technologies.
Through detailed data analysis and investigation, provide authoritative advice on information held within Courtlink, summarising information to support risk assessment and management of family violence.
Provide knowledge on the quality, accuracy, and relevance of data.
Contribute to the preparation of reports including the appropriate analysis of available information.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the CIP, and work in collaboration with team members from different disciplines.
Identify and communicate information for multidisciplinary discussion.
Understand and operate within relevant legislation.
Keep accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and CSV records, information security, and privacy policies and requirements.
Certificate IV in Government (Court Services) or equivalent is desirable but not required.
Tertiary qualification in relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience and training is highly desirable.
