Hays has partnered with a local family operated company, with locations in Toowoomba, Warwick, Dalby & Gatton who are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis.

**Your new role**

Working within their administration and finance team, the key responsibilities are:
Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

- Daily accounting transactions, data entry and reconciliation of accounts
- Completion of accounts payable, supporting the accounts receivable team and daily data entry
- Assist and support with BAS and other reporting as required
- Processing and uploading of regular payment run and reconciliations
- Proactively follow-up approvals to ensure timely creditor payments
- Reconciliation and processing of corporate credit cards
- Assist with Insurance renewals and insurance related matters e.g., claims.
- Develop and follow workplace procedures
- Data entry assistance with accounts payable and receivable transactions for inter entities.
- Support with the completion of preplanning contracts and associated paperwork
- Provide a spectacular service both on the phone and in-person with everyone that you engage with Ad hoc projects as required.
- Support the Senior Bookkeeper with month-end requirements as needed
- General administration and reception duties.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Experience and relevant work history in bookkeeping
- Be self-managed, organised, and efficient with deadlines
- Work collaboratively with your team to achieve high quality service delivery and compliance
- Understand GST and be adept at Xero accounting software
- Xero certification, highly regarded
- Impeccable communication skills - Communicating respectfully and clearly with fellow staff, suppliers, advisors, and our client.
- Expectational personal presentation.
- Police Check required and the ability to pass a medical check
