Merry People is a category-defining brand that believes gumboots are one of the most practical types of footwear and aims to make them an everyday item worldwide Their signature boots come in various fun colours, keeping your feet comfy, supported, and warm.
This hugely exciting DTC eCommerce brand is experiencing significant year-on-year growth. They have expanded into the USA, UK, and Canada and plan to expand to the EU in 2026.
Merry People remains a unique product in the market, creating a new product category in Australia. The Bobbi boot is an everyday waterproof boot (i.e., Gumboot meets boot) that blends function and fashion.
Merry People has received over 25,000 five-star reviews—the most of any gumboot.
**Role**
This new position will be the go-to person for driving growth and efficiency across key paid social & search channels. You'll strategise, execute, and optimise campaigns that fuel Merry People's global ambitions.
**Key Responsibilities**
Paid Social Campaign Execution & Optimisation
- Set up and maintain campaigns; rotate creatives, refine targeting, and make adjustments based on results to deliver company metrics.
- Have a meticulous eye for backend settings in Facebook Business Manager, ensuring every relevant box is checked, all pixel/event setups are correct, and all ad builds follow best practices.
- Lead "test and learn" initiatives to enhance campaign performance and deliver exceptional results.
- Analyse performance and give feedback to inform strategy, creative, copy & new A/B testing.
Budget Allocation & Management
- Proactively monitor and optimise day-to-day budget allocations to achieve budgeted monthly sales & ROAS targets across all markets.
- Adjust and optimise ad spend across core channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to maximise return on investment and meet digital growth objectives.
- Implement AI/automation tools to optimise efficiency, budget management, and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the wider Digital and Brand Marketing teams to align on executing our full-funnel strategy, ensuring consistent, opportunistic, and on-brand content and messaging across all channels.
- Project manage internal content creation to achieve the required content volume for paid socials.
- Partner with the Commercial team to identify trading opportunities across all regions.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of performance and ability to communicate results, learnings, and next steps/actions to stakeholders.
Marketing Mix Optimisation
- Explore and test new performance marketing channels in a structured, data-driven manner.
- Use insights from testing to refine our overall marketing mix and unearth new sources of growth.
**You**
We're looking for an experienced performance marketer with deep paid media expertise, a growth mindset and complementary skills in experimentation and data analysis. You have worked in-house and can demonstrate experience collaborating with brand, commercial and eCommerce functions. Strong preference for pure-play eCommerce and DTC experience.
