**This is where you come in**:
You will be responsible for developing, validating, communicating and implementing raw material procurement strategies that provide competitive advantage and deliver the highest overall benefit to business results.
Using the Strategic Sourcing process, this position will drive value add, process improvement, and innovation opportunities across raw materials.
This role is fast paced and will suit someone that thrives in that environment, is able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and have the ability to think outside the box to solve problems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure procurement ownership of responsible Raw Material sourcing activities through early involvement in commercial discussions and ensuring strategic sourcing is performed for the entire category
- Continual assessment of the category to enhance understanding of market dynamics
- Ensure compliance and governance to the alignment of business and Procurement priorities
- Drive structured quarter business reviews (QBRs) with key Raw Material suppliers and business stakeholders to assess and measure supplier performance and compliance
- Develop, implement and continually reassess risk management strategies to ensure security of supply for the category
- Work closely with the factory R&D to identify opportunities to optimise the supply of raw materials to the business
- Ensure effective business connectivity through proactive engagement at all levels of the organisation to ensure joint objectives and initiatives for all Raw Material categories

**About you**:

- Excellent stakeholder management, ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional projects
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high level interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently, manage time, prioritise workload and operate within a nimble organisation
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in meats, animal proteins and/or micro ingredients is highly desirable
- Strong business insight - understanding of business strategies and processes
- Strong financial acumen
- key business drivers, budgeting and forecasting
- Good understanding of legal systems, processes and supply agreements
- Related degree in Business Management / Supply Chain /Logistics /Economics /Finance / Engineering
- CIPSA and/or APICS qualifications viewed favourably
