We are looking for a new clarinet tutor to join our teach of passionate and enthusiastic team

A little bit about our school before we go ahead. Music Stars Academy is a music school based on Roseville, offering lessons for students of all ages, levels and all instruments including guitar, piano, drums, singing, bass, brass, strings, woodwind, percussion and even the kazoo

Our school brings a holistic approach to teaching music where we focus on helping our students become confident musicians, so they can share their music in all aspects of life whether it'd be at a school concert, community festival, busking on the street or even making Youtube covers

We have a wide range of students with goals varying from wanting to do well in their AMEB exams, to wanting to do well in their school bands. Whatever the goals, we encourage our tutors to help our students achieve their goals, challenge themselves with learning different styles of music from traditional classical music to contemporary pop, jazz, funk and blues.

Our tutors are celebrated as much as the students, and we are looking for a piano/vocal tutor who has had extensive performance experience, to inspire the students into wanting to become confident performers and entertainers

Details of the role:

- If you are able to teach saxophone, clarinet and other instruments such as piano or vocals, that will work in your favour
- We ask our tutors have a minimum grade 6 level of expertise. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to have an AMEB qualification, more so the ability to play at a grade 6 level.
- Tutors will be teaching both 1on1 lessons and group lessons
- Tutors will be given a minimum of three days of teaching on weekdays and Saturdays
- We ask our tutors to provide students with consistent and achievable practise material each week, to help them develop both their technical and creative skills
- Tutors are encouraged to teach all styles of music and not be limited to just classical music. Improvisation and composition is encouraged as it helps students develop their own unique voice
- Tutors are encouraged to get involved with roles outside of lessons including social media content, occasionally writing newsletters and blogs for parents

**Requirements**:

- All tutors must have a valid working with children check and ABN required.
- Must be able to teach and turn up on a consistent basis throughout a 10 week school term.

**Salary**:

- The starting rate for tutors will be $27.50 per 30 minute lesson/ $55 per 1 hour lesson
- Rates can be negotiated and increased based on performance, and value that you bring to the studio.
