We have an exciting opportunity at Downer Group for a Visa Compliance Officer.

The Visa Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all non-citizen employees maintain a valid visa. This includes monitoring and evaluating employee files to ensure that visa details and visa documentation are appropriately stored and maintaining up-to-date visa records for all visa holders working in the business.

This is a 6-month Max term contract with a hybrid work arrangement. The position reports to the Team Lead - Visa Governance, working closely with People Services, visa holders and other stakeholders to ensure that the business meets its visa compliance obligations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure immigration compliance regarding visa records and visa conditions for existing staff.
- Input new visa and passport details into the HR System (HRCore).
- Proactively identify and obtain missing information from visa holders.
- Conduct timely and accurate visa information checks and provide support with relevant checks prior to employment (for example VEVO check to verify visa status).
