We're now hiring talented Chefs and Cooks to join our passionate kitchen team.Your RoleWe are seeking experienced and motivated Chefs and Cooks to contribute to our kitchen operations across various locations.
These roles are hands-on and integral to ensuring the smooth delivery of quality meals in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage ordering of food suppliesMonitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentationDiscuss food preparation and kitchen operations with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen/wait staffDemonstrate techniques and advise team members on cooking proceduresPrepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary requirementsEnsure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are strictly followedExamine food items to ensure freshness and qualityRegulate cooking equipment temperatures (ovens, grills, etc.) for optimal resultsSeason food during cooking and finish dishes with appropriate garnishes and accompanimentsPortion and plate meals to specificationStore food in temperature-controlled environments per safety guidelinesPrepare food for special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegan, gluten-free)May be responsible for freezing and preserving food itemsMay train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprenticesWhat We're Looking ForProven experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar culinary roleKnowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standardsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentFlexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidaysCulinary qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) desirableWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rates and employment benefitsSupportive team environment with opportunities for training and advancementThe chance to be part of a company that values creativity, quality, and teamworkOngoing employment opportunities across our diverse portfolio of businessesJoin Urbanecho Holdings Pty Ltd and bring your passion for food to a team that values excellence and innovation in every dish.
