We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as **Assistant Vice President, Operational Risk and Control Manager - Hybrid** (Internal Job Title: Assistant Vice President Assistant - **C12**) based in Sydney, Australia. The Operational Risk and Control Manager is an 18 month fixed term contract that will assist in the delivery of the Risk and Control Framework for Citibank Pty Limited (CPL). In this role you will assist in providing oversight as well as executing the monitoring of Activities and Controls which impact CPL's regulatory and contractual obligations during the provision of transitional services to the Buyer.

**In this role, **You will be responsible for continuously enhancing the control environment including:

- Ensuring adherence to the Operational Risk Framework
- Risk Identification, Analysis, Management, and Reporting
- Issues management and reporting
- Completion of Process reviews to assure compliance to policies, procedures and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with coordination of Internal Audits, Reviews and Regulatory Examination Management
- Effective communication with business partners
- Production and evaluation of Control reporting which tracks the effectiveness of the Control governance frameworks
- 10 years Risk and Control experience
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and work diligently under pressure and with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong understanding of operational risk, process and controls concepts, including risk identification, monitoring frameworks and methodologies
- Adaptable to change and constantly seek opportunities to improve process and controls
- High attention to detail and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to communicate business rationale to internal and external counterparts and multiple layers of management
- Ability to analyze results and identify strengths and opportunities
- Credit Operations and Banking Operations experience required
- Sound background in retail banking, experience in dealing with auditors or regulators and display an understanding of regulatory obligations surrounding retail products
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups
- Navigates complexity to create clear, often unique solutions
- Proven ability to make sound business decision
