Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, culture and leadership of the village to create a positive, welcoming and safe environment for residents.
Leading this well-established community with exciting future development plans, you will lead a small team of three by creating a culture of impeccable customer service, boosting resident satisfaction, financial & budget management, safety compliance, people leadership and facilities management.
This is an all-round operations role where you will excel if you have a background in Hotel, Tourism, Facilities, Property or Hospitality Management.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working five days within our Robertson Park Retirement Village.What we offer:Permanent full-time position with the opportunity to lead a small team of threeLaptop, phone and onboarding training providedPaid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave optionsTwo (2) additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar yearAnnual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive schemeEmployee ReferralProgramand Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providersOpportunities for further career progression (e.g develop into a Regional Operations Manager role, or more)Your Impact:Take ownership and lead all daily operations of village services, including compliance, safety & security, people leadership, facilities management and resident satisfaction.Foster a culture of resident satisfaction by promoting open communication, professionalism, honesty, and positivity across the community.Oversee and implement community finance budgets by working with internal finance partners and delivering presentations to resident committees.Have a strong eye for maintenance issues by ensuring you are working with your Maintenance Officer and the Aveo Facilities team to improve the facilities the overall communityDisplay a strong sense of people leadership including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and development of your Assistant Manager into the next Community Manager
Liaise with a wide range of internal and external teams, including (but not limited to): Facilities, Operations, Care, Marketing, Legal, Sales and People & RiskEnable residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence and build inter-personal relations with residents and resident committee membersWhat you'll bring:Prior experience in a front-line operations management role (e.g. Hospitality, Hotel or General Manager roles or similar)Strong people and stakeholder skills with a passion for leading teams and working with a wide range of residents and stakeholdersA passion for building on customer engagement, KPI improvement and resident satisfactionExperience in P&L budgets, financial performance and confident in presenting budgets to a group of residentsThorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint)Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline (desirable, not essential)Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete it for you)Who we areAs a leader in retirement living, with 30 years experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
