Currently our Quality Assurance department are seeking a Microbiologist to join the team

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Analysis of raw materials and products to ensure compliance with microbiological specifications
- Test factory hygiene, including air, water, fixtures and equipment
- Analyse purified water and feed water samples to ensure compliance with microbiological and chemical specifications
- Perform calibration and maintenance of equipment as required
- Conduct investigations and microbiological risk assessments using sound scientific principles
- Preparation of microbiological media
- Validation of test methods
- Support and encourage continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the Quality department and the wider business
- Ensure activities comply with GMP, legal and ethical standards

Job Requirements:

- Tertiary qualifications in Biological Science, preferably microbiology
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment desirable but not essential
- Proven ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Ability to build rapport, establish and maintain relationships with peers and business contacts
- High level of written and verbal communication with experience writing reports
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines and targets with competing and conflicting priorities
- Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures
