**The Roles**

We have multiple pathways available for early career hydrogeologists joining our team, whether you have a passion for physical hydrogeology or a desk-based numerical modelling interest (or both).

Supported by a team that produces high quality results, in an environment of supportive teamwork and innovation, you will assess the impacts of resource projects on groundwater systems; develop groundwater supplies for towns, villages, mines, irrigation, stock, and domestic purposes; manage dewatering and groundwater control needs around mines and deep excavations, and assess groundwater to assist in the development, management, and closure of landfills.

The field work includes FIFO and DIDO to various mining and agricultural sites, you will operate a manual 4WD vehicle; install monitoring bore/VWP installations; conduct field tests (slug tests, packer tests, and pumping tests); conduct routine collection of water sample data; download information from data loggers; design bores; analyse data; report on results; and perform routine maintenance (light duties) on the monitoring network as required.

We have developed a numerical modelling methodology that we are keen to teach all of our early career hydrogeologists in conjunction with field based studies, who will become multi-skilled groundwater specialist consultants.

Travel is required for up to 2 weeks at a time in various remote locations throughout Queensland and rural Australia.

**To be successful in this role,** you will have a degree in geology, environmental science or environmental engineering and ideally post graduate qualifications or courses completed that demonstrate your intention to pursue a long term hydrogeology career. You will also require
- Physical fitness and a willingness to travel for up to 2 weeks in remote Australia.
- A manual drivers licence, with 4WD experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to safety
- A curiosity for numerical modelling (for those interested in developing these skills)
