Pay Rate Range: $13.50 to 15.00 per hour.CPL 1: $13.50 per hour / CPL 2: $15.00 per hourReports toReports to: Center DirectorResponsibilitiesWorks with the Lead Teacher to prepare and implement the daily lesson plans and ensures a high level of interaction with childrenResponsible for the care and supervision of children and classroom management at all times in accordance with licensing standards and best practicesWork independently with a small group of children and as part of a team with other teachers, leads, center staff and the directorBuild positive relationships with children, families and other staff members through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spiritMaintains a clean, safe and emotionally supportive environment that is conducive to learning and is centered on the needs and abilities of the childrenComplete and document services provided, such as progress reports, attendance screenings, and assessments as requiredProvide functional classroom support and assist with meal service as requiredMaintain professionalism and confidentiality with personnel and family informationAll other duties as needed/assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and experience in a childcare setting are requiredStrong familiarity with lesson planning and implementation, incorporating all domains of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards using Creative Curriculum is preferredWillingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities, and industry trendsMust be able to adapt quickly to changing environments and assignments as requiredWe seek someone who is prompt and reliable and who possesses a genuine love of childrenMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
