**The Company**
Appoint is working in partnership with a leading public enterprise within Technical Services for a Trade Assistant to join their team. Immediate Start - based in Brisbane's South.

**The Role**
Your role will involve various manual labouring duties to support the Technical Services team with the involvement of construction, operation and demolition of physical hydraulic models.

Physical strength and stamina are necessary for this role, to undertake the variety of tasks as well as a basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.

**Duties**
- Loading and unload materials to and from delivery vehicles and ensuring they are safely moved to storage sites
- Moving construction materials (sand/gravel/timber etc.) around work areas
- Undertaking site set-up and clean-up tasks, including removal and disposal of rubble and debris
- Erecting and maintaining temporary modelling bay walls, water retaining structures and access pathways and barriers
- Assisting in the construction, operation and demolition of physical models
- Mixing, transporting and placing concrete
- Operating hand-held and fixed-in-place workshop tools for drilling, cutting, grinding, sanding and joinery
- Undertaking miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, painting, mowing, and office supply and inventory upkeep
