Support Worker (Disability/Mental Health/AOD) Utopia Care Pty Office is based at Sheidow Park, but we provide quality NDIS Core Support Services from Nurioopta to Victor Harbour.

Primary Role: To provide enabling, domiciliary, and personal care assistance to individuals experiencing physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities in various settings including in-home, group situations, and community.
Location: All South Australia Metropolitan Regions (North, East, South, West) Main Duties: Follow organisation policies and proceduresReport any incidentsGuide participants in complaints and feedback processesMeet NDIS Code of Conduct requirementsImplement and monitor support plansMaintain records of client progressStrengthen participants' ability to coordinate supportsSupport participants to travel and use public transport independentlyTransport to therapy, appointments, or day optionsAssist participants in active community, social, and civic activitiesSupport group-based community activitiesBuild client self-image and confidenceAssess clients to determine ongoing needsAssist in day option activitiesDrive a 12-seater vehicleAssist with outdoor games and sportsObserve and support behaviourAssist with accommodation and tenancy obligationsPerform basic hygiene tasks such as bathingAssist with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundryTake participants shoppingComplete choresAdminister medicationClean roomsFollow policies and proceduresParticipate in all trainingPerform other duties as required Experience: Minimum 6 months (negotiable) Skills: PunctualityReliability and flexibilityGood written and verbal communication skillsEmpathetic and proactive attitudeCaring natureAbility to self-supervise and remain calmNote: The office is based at Sheidow Park, but services are provided from Nurioopta to Victor Harbour.
