**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Our Risk & Assurance Team works with the organisation to manage risk and opportunities and enable the achievement of Origin's operational and strategic objectives. As we journey through the energy transition, the team provides risk direction, support, assurance and insights to support informed, risk-based decisions.

The Head of Aligned Assurance is a senior leadership opportunity within the Risk & Assurance Team, reporting directly to the General Manager Risk & Assurance. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and implementation of an effective and fit-for-purpose aligned assurance model for Origin, including coordination practices to reduce duplication of assurance activities across the three lines. In collaborating with assurance partners and stakeholders, you will deliver insightful recommendations to reduce risk and enhance opportunities.

- _Stakeholder Relationships:_ Establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with management, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and delivering high-quality assurance outcomes.
- _Leadership:_ Provide leadership and direction for the most suitable aligned assurance model for Origin, ensuring it meets the company's needs and drawing from best industry practices.
- _Assurance Program:_ Lead the delivery of the risk second-line assurance program, including the definition of appropriate risk assurance methods, contributing to a robust risk management framework.
- _Collaboration:_ Coordinate routines to plan assurance activities in collaborating with other assurance providers and stakeholders to minimize duplication and enhance efficiency.
- _Capability Building:_ Engage, coach, and build assurance capability in key roles across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**ABOUT YOU**

Experience in Risk Assurance leadership roles, encompassing Risk Management, Governance, or Internal Audit and the ability to showcase a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in the design and delivery of Risk Assurance programs are essential.

**More about you**:

- Bachelor in Accounting, HSE or Engineering.
- Applied leadership experience in risk management including technical, financial or strategic risks.
- Experience in risk assurance.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and solve problems to ensure objectives are achieved.
