**Job Opportunity: Data Centre Facilities Technician**
Our client, a highly motivated and customer-focused organization, is dedicated to delivering top-notch support and enhancing their management capabilities through collaboration. As Australia's leading certified and secure sovereign environment, trusted by the Government, they are now expanding their Data Centre Campus in Sydney from 10MW to 43MW. This exciting development offers a unique chance for you to grow within the company and become an essential part of their Data Centres team.
**The Role**:
As a Data Centre Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' Telecom Customer Mission Critical Services and maintaining the facility infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance, repairs, and call-out services for facility infrastructure equipment. You will also provide technical support for all our clients' Data Centres, respond to and resolve facility incidents, manage vendor staff as needed, and develop site-specific policies and procedures. In addition, you will contribute to a 24/7 rotating shift roster, reflecting a 'mission critical' uptime mindset.
**Requirements**:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a critical environment (e.g., data centre, hospital, navy, oil & gas, defence, etc.)
- Diploma in Facility Management, Electrical (preferred), or Mechanical Engineering equivalent to Australian standards
- Solid knowledge of building services, including Structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Design, Generators, Security Systems, HVAC, Fire, Security, EMS, BMS
- Desirable: Restricted electrical license for switching operations
