Job Overview

The role of a Data Centre Technician involves providing technical support and maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of data centre facilities.

This is a dynamic position that requires strong communication skills, a 'can-do' attitude, and a passion for learning about telecommunications and data centre operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering cabling services to customer racks and areas
  • Responding to remote requests for assistance
  • Maintaining core electrical and mechanical systems
  • Identifying and resolving facility issues in a timely manner
  • Performing manual handling tasks

Travel between sites may be required during shifts.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of data centres, data cabling, and cable management
  • A passion for learning about telecommunications and data centre operations
  • Keen interest in fixing and solving problems

A TAFE Certificate in Telecommunications or trade certificates (Electrician/HVAC Technician) are desirable.
