**Your part in The Wesley Hospital team**
- Working as the Fire Safety and Emergency Management Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and leadership on all facets of fire safety, fire compliance and emergency management. Primarily The Wesley Hospital, you will also support the wider UnitngCare Hospitals Group.- Providing high level analytical data and compiling reports to support the provision of fire safety and emergency management, you will develop and implement local procedures, work instructions and business plans consistent with broader UnitingCare policy and procedure.- Working in close co-operation with both the Engineering and Security Services Managers, you will ensure all fire safety equipment and fire protection systems, including signage and evacuation diagrams, are tested, maintained and recorded. You will also co-ordinate and deliver appropriate fire and emergency evacuation training and conduct regular fire safety reviews, audits and risk management activities.**What makes a difference for us?**
- To be successful, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in fire safety and/or emergency management
- Current Fire Safety Adviser qualification in line with the requirements of Qld Building Fire Safety legislation and regulation
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Training or equivalent
- Previous experience in a professional fire safety management role preferably in a large/medium size organisation
- Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety guidelines including the Qld Fire Safety Regulations 2008, Building Code of Australia, AS4083 Planning for Emergencies - Health care facilities and any other relevant legislation and standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
