Overview
The Orthodontic Sales Specialist will utilize a consultative sales and educational approach to influence doctors and staff to purchase and utilize Ormco's digital product portfolio. Meet with assigned group of orthodontists and orthodontic staff on a consistent basis to promote products and services, relate new product information, receive feedback on the company's products and services, and provide in-depth training/onboarding. Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on established and prospective customers to increase product utilization or qualify them as prospects for the company. The Orthodontic Sales Specialist is responsible for maintaining a set number of meetings per day, week, and month to grow sales dollars and utilization to established levels over the prior year.
Responsibilities
Meet with assigned group of orthodontists and orthodontic staff to promote products and services, relay new product information, receive feedback, and provide in-depth training/onboarding.
Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on established and prospective customers to increase product utilization or qualify them as prospects.
Maintain a set number of meetings per day, week, and month to drive sales growth and utilization.
Provide quick response and resolution to customers' requests.
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.
Establish a track record of converting key brand business to Ormco's digital product suite from the competition.
Adhere to the company's sales training policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to customers.
Relate new product ideas and extensions to Marketing for evaluation.
Develop and utilize territory management tools, including account coverage and budget/deadline planning.
Review and report customer complaints and recommend corrective action per guidelines.
Collect and report competitive information to Marketing Management.
Prepare periodic reports (weekly call reports, expense reports, general reports, and others as assigned).
Demonstrate products using selling aids and clinically established techniques to emphasize features and benefits.
Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
Maintain reporting requirements under established guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Provide in-depth training, education, onboarding and technical support to customers for Ormco's digital portfolio suite.
