Overview
Location: Carosue Dam, Western Australia. Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off.
Responsibilities
Direct responsibility for supervision of Mine Planning Engineers and provide leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
Contribute to the underground team to deliver monthly, 3-monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Undertake all planning activities incorporating medium- and long-term planning requirements.
Produce and deliver quarterly forecasts, half-year reforecasts, spatial compliance reports (actual vs budgets), annual budget preparation, and life-of-asset plans.
Undertake underground mine designs, level extraction plan preparation and economic evaluation.
Ore Reserve preparations in accordance with JORC code definitions.
Liaise with the Production, Paste Fill, Geotechnical and Geology workgroups to ensure medium- and long-term priorities are transferred into short-term plans.
Identify and implement opportunities to optimise mining processes and provide business improvement strategies.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring
Competent user of Deswik packages (Scheduler, CAD, SO).
Practical experience on large-scale underground mining operations, including new projects ramp-up and multi-site operations.
Previous experience with financial modelling/costing.
Ability to influence, communicate risks, develop realistic plans and deliver compelling presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
WA First Class Mine Manager Certificate of Competency (desirable).
WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency (desirable).
