: Senior Planning Engineer

8 days on, 6 days off
What you can look forward to:
Direct responsibility for supervision of Mine Planning Engineers and provide them with leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
Contribute to the underground team to deliver monthly, 3-monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Undertake all planning activities incorporating Medium, and Long-term planning requirements.
Produce and deliver quarterly forecast, H2 reforecast, spatial compliance report (actual vs budget), annual budget preparation, and life of asset plan.
Undertake underground mine designs, level extraction plan preparation and economic evaluation.
Ore Reserve preparations in accordance with JORC code definitions.
Liaising with the Production, Paste Fill, Geotechnical and Geology workgroups to ensure medium and long-term priorities are transferred into short term plans.
Identify & implement opportunities to optimise mining processes and provide business improvement strategies.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring
Expertise & Accomplishments:
Competent user of Deswik packages (Scheduler, CAD, SO)
Practical experience on large scale underground mining operations, including new projects ramp up and multi-site operations
Previous experience with financial modelling/costing
Ability to influence, communicate risks, realistic plans and delivering compelling presentations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable)
WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency (desirable)
