**Key responsibilities**: - Prepare, review and finalise executive documents on behalf of the Assistant Director-General including Cabinet and Governor-in-Council related matters, correspondence, submissions and Director-General / Ministerial Briefing Notes and executive correspondence on significant issues. Provide authoritative, professional and timely advice on complex portfolio and business issues. Coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals and initiatives requiring total portfolio or divisional responses and contribute a strategic perspective on behalf of the Assistant Director-General. Obtain relevant advice and maintain liaison with key areas of the department to ensure timely resolution of issues. Undertake special projects (using an appropriate project management methodology) of a complex, sensitive and contentious nature as directed. Undertake or assist with various research or analytical tasks relating to the operations of QBuild. Remain abreast of emerging issues impacting on QBuild and provide advice to the members of the QBuild Board of Management on appropriate courses of action. Review and monitor significant projects and policy initiatives and report on progress and outcomes.
