At Visy, we love solving problems together.Spotswood location – Market leader in packaging solutions9-day fortnight, 35-hour weekStable opportunity with a great team cultureThe opportunity:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker to join our Spotswood Glass Plant.
This is a dayshift role working 35 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight starting at 7am.The plant runs 24/7 and this role will be part of our reliability team, reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
You will play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventative and breakdown maintenance.General technical support to the manufacturing site.New and old machinery installation work.Daily maintenance, fault finding, troubleshooting and machine repair.Enter and manage maintenance notifications in SAP.What You'll BringTrade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker.Strong Welding and fabrication skills are essential.Significant experience in an industrial environment, preferably in manufacturing with a background in fault finding.Forklift licence, EWP licence, rigging ticket are advantageous.Able to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines, while also demonstrating excellent teamwork skills.Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a safety mindset.Visy Glass has a wealth of experience in crafting pure, sustainable and iconic glass packaging for many of the world's best-known food and beverage brands.
