At Midnite, we're looking for a Lead Platform Software Engineer to join our team and take on the challenge of shaping our future. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role that requires strong technical skills and leadership abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software and systems, ensuring they are clean, efficient, and well-documented. They will also participate in code reviews, stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and collaborate with our existing UK-based Platform and Backend Engineering teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to grow their skills through internal and external learning opportunities while benefiting from access to mentorship programs that support their development.
Our tech stack is primarily implemented in Python and hosted on AWS, incorporating technologies such as Flask, Pytest, Mypy, Docker, PostgreSQL, SQS, S3, and Terraform. We deploy daily, and while familiarity with these technologies is preferred, it's not mandatory; what matters most to us is your commitment to maintaining high engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software and systems
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and ensure the quality of the codebase
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
